We had a lovely week at Westwood. It was our second stay at the house. Three generations of family staying and plenty of room. The house is very comfortable and has amazing views all around. Also for wildlife - we saw otters two evenings swimming across the water in front of the house. There was a red squirrel in the garden and lots of seals and deer around Lochranza itself. Lochranza is a great location with lovely walks around. Also very handy for the ferry across to Claonaig and a short trip to Skipness and the sea food cabin. Would really recommend Westwood, especially for a larger group. Arran is great place for a holiday.
The best part the view, captivating for all ages, the 2 and 3 year olds loved the ferry, and best of all, it went to sleep outside our house!
Very spacious, well equipped house, plenty of bathrooms, large kitchen, great dining room. We loved it, and I miss that view, the sea, the birds, the rain, the sun! Highly recommend this property to large family or group of friends.
We had an enjoyable week with our extended family and the views from the house were simply beautiful. We found the house spacious comfortable and well stocked with everything you could need and more. We used the barbecue to celebrate my sons birthday. We had a couple of nice meals in the hotel nearby and my son went abseiling with the lochranza activity centre just minutes away. Some of the party also sailed from the pier on the waverly. All in all a fab relaxing week in a lively setting. Hope to return.

Stayed in Westwood for a week with the extended family, enough room for all of us in comfort. A well equipped house with what must be the one of the best views on Arran, so much wildlife, quite literally, on the doorstep. We were all so sad to leave and cannot wait to come back, a week is not nearly enough.
Have stayed here four times the last four years and keep coming back. This house is the perfect place to stay with a group in Lochranza. Lovely well equipped kitchen is ideal for diners or just enjoying a cooked breakfast. The location is close to everything ideal for day trips around the island. The view from the front rooms is amazing. The rooms are large and spacious and there is plenty of room for a travel cott or two. Enjoy a good dram by the fire place or sit outside in the sun. We have Picnicked on the front lawn and went for a swim in the sea. The place is clean, tidy and childsafe. Karen takes good care of you if there is anything.
Lots of parking space and very close to the ferry. The Lochranze hotel pub is a 5 min walk. With three toilets/two Bathroom it is a luxury stay with a group. Strongly recommend staying here. Good fun things to do is a walk up Goatsfjell, a drive to Machrimore and a visit to the local Arran distillery.
Stayed here for a week at Easter 2018. This lovely house is very well equipped, had lots of space for our large family aged from 7 - 70+ and has very comfortable beds. Good Kitchen and utility room. Highly recommend.
Stayed over New Year 2018 and had a great break with our extended family. Beautiful house that felt like home. We hope to return for a future New Year break.
Stayed at Westwood Monday to Saturday in May and what a wonderful time we had. Lovely spacious house with stunning views from lounge and front bedrooms. Weather was fab so enjoyed using the enclosed garden and BBQ. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to sea we were even lucky enough to see dolphins leaping out the water. Great location and would definitely recommend staying at Westwood look forward to returning hopefully next year even the dogs loved the views
Stayed at Westwood for a week in August and loved every minute. The setting is unbelievable and the house offers very spacious accommodation. In Karen's words the house is still work in progress, however the views, the location and a few tweaks will make this house an even more amazing place to stay. We will be back!!!!!
We stayed in Westwood at the end of July. Fabulous house for a holiday, well equipped and very comfortable. Well recommended.
Arran itself is beautiful and our week was simply not long enough.
This had to be one of the best stays I have ever had on the wonderful Isle of Arran. I was so delighted on first arrival that I had to call Karen, to say we had arrived on schedule and that the views from the front rooms and bedrooms in particular were stunning. There was one night where the light was so fantastic at 11.15pm !! that I went to sleep with the curtains open - Stunning. Yes Eagles, deer and noisy cuckoos all made this visit idyllic and then there was the distillery - that is another story. At one stage in the early part of the holiday there were 9 of us reducing to 8 after 3 nights because of work commitments but the house comfortably accommodated us so if you're looking for a relaxing, magical holiday with plenty of space this home has it in abundance.
A lovely home from home in the perfect location on a fabulous island. I would recommend Westwood to anyone and Arran to everyone. Many thanks.
We had a great stay at Westwood. The house is beautiful and finished to a very high, stylish standard. Westwood is very comfortable and all our party ranging in age from four to seventy two had a fan time. Lochranza is a brilliant location, we saw a red squirrel, a golden eagle, seals and lots of deer during our stay!
Lovely spacious house, lots of room for every one. Fabulous view, loved the red squirrels and the lonely stag grazing on the waters edge. The Isle of Arran is certainly a wonderful place.
